Tapered roller bearings mainly bear radial and axial combined loads. Bearing capacity depends on the raceway angle of the outer race, the greater the angle, the greater the load capacity. Single row tapered roller bearing clearance needs the user to adjust when installation; double row and four row tapered roller bearing clearance has been given at the end of the product in accordance with the user requirements, without the user adjustment.
Tapered roller bearings have a conical inner ring and an outer race raceway, and tapered rollers are arranged between them. The projection lines of all conical surfaces are gathered at the same point of the bearing axis. This design makes tapered roller bearings particularly suitable for compound (radial and axial) loads.  The axial load capacity of the bearing is mostly determined by the contact angle. The greater the angle, the higher the axial load capacity. The size of the angle is expressed by calculating the coefficient e. The greater the E value and the greater the contact angle, the greater the applicability of the bearing to axial load.
Tapered roller bearings are usually separated, that is, the conical inner ring components with the inner ring of the roller and the cage assembly can be installed separately from the conical outer ring (outer ring).
Tapered roller bearings are widely used in automobile, rolling mills, mines, metallurgy, plastics machinery and other industries.
The secondary reason for the emergence of the tapered roller bearing in the process of installation is that the inner ring, the outer ring of the bearing is springing up in the installation, the assembly, or the emergence of the load in the process of the installation and assembly, and finally the emergence of the bearing marks.

Although the quality of tapered roller bearings is better, rolling bearings are precision parts, and their use must be carried out accordingly. No matter how high performance bearings are used, if they are misused, they will not achieve the expected high performance. There are several points for attention in the use of bearings.
(1) keep tapered roller bearings and their surroundings clean.
Even small dust that can not be seen by the eyes will bring bad effects to bearings. Therefore, keep the surrounding clean so that the dust will not invade the bearings.
(2) use carefully.
The strong impact of tapered roller bearings during use will cause scar and indentation, which will be the cause of the accident. In severe cases, it will crack and break, so we must pay attention to it.
(3) the use of appropriate operating tools.
Avoid replacing existing tools with proper tools.
(4) attention should be paid to the corrosion of the tapered roller bearings.
When carrying the bearings, the sweat on the hands will become the cause of rust. Pay attention to the use of clean hands, it is best to wear gloves.
Tapered roller bearings use hearing to identify irregular operation is a very common method. Example, for example, using an electronic stethoscope to detect the abnormal noise of a part is used by an experienced operator. If the bearing is in good condition, it will make a low whine sound, and if a sharp hiss is made, the tapered roller bearings, squeaks and other irregular sounds usually indicate that the bearing is in bad running condition.

3, the corrosion of the neck surface: the spectral analysis found that the iron concentration is abnormal, and there are many submicron particles of iron in the iron spectrum. The moisture of the lubricating oil is exceeding the standard or the acid value exceeds the standard.
4. Surface strain: there are cutting abrasives in the ferrography, and the abrasive grains are non-ferrous metals.
5. Fretting wear of tile back: spectral analysis shows that iron concentration is abnormal. Iron spectrum contains many iron sub micron wear particles, and lubricating oil moisture and acid value are abnormal.
Under the condition of liquid lubrication, the sliding surface is separated by the lubricating oil without direct contact, and the friction loss and surface wear can be greatly reduced, and the oil film also has a certain absorption capacity. The sharp squeak noise may be due to improper lubrication. Improper bearing clearance can also cause metal sound. The dent in the track of the outer ring of the tapered roller bearing will cause vibration and cause a smooth and crisp sound. The noise will be caused by the percussion marks caused by the installation. The noise will vary with the speed of the bearing. If there is intermittent noise, the rolling element may be damaged. The sound of the tapered roller bearing occurs when the contaminant in the bearing often causes hissing when the damaged surface is rolled, and the serious damage of the bearing will produce irregular and huge noise.
Bearing damage can be detected by hearing, but usually the bearing must be replaced immediately. Therefore, a better method, such as the use of electronic condition monitoring instruments, tapered roller bearings to pre erupt the operation of bearings.
